When I walk into a space, I don't just see furniture — I see power. I see presence. I see potential.
This latest project was a bold one: I challenged myself to design a high-end, male-inspired gathering lounge inside the iconic Maven Roma II Mansion, a space already dripping with architectural drama. My job? To take that existing gravitas and elevate it — transforming it into a refined, unapologetically masculine haven that commands attention and delivers deep comfort.
And with the phenomenal sponsorship of Erfe Designs, I was able to push this vision even further, creating a lounge that is as smooth as the male inspiration it was built for.
Barbershop Nostalgia, Reinvented
We started with a mood: old-school barbershop, reEMagined for the modern man. I anchored the back wall with the Nero Dresser by Erfe Designs—its smoked black finish, burnished gold accents, and stacked drawer composition immediately conjure feelings of masculine ritual. Think: straight razors, hot towels, slow jazz, and smooth conversations.
In front of the Nero, I placed a custom booth-style seating arrangement—leather-tufted, low-slung, and rich in texture—curated to evoke a barbershop waiting area... if that waiting area came with champagne service and tailored cigars.
Every single detail in this section was intentional. This is where stories are told. Secrets are kept. And loyalty is earned.
The Heart of the Lounge: Diamond Living Room Set
At the center of it all? The Diamond Living Room Set in bold black. Another Erfe masterpiece. With its structured lines creating the diamond shaped quilting in the leather, and grounded silhouette, this set radiates presence. It’s not “trying” to impress—it just does.
The eye-catching sofa is built to hold court. The accent chairs? Regal but relaxed. The glass-and-iron coffee table? A modernist dream. This isn’t a place for idle chatter. This is where moves are made. Plans are laid. Deals are sealed.
Most of the primary furnishings here are PBR and Blinn Phong textured, giving each piece that elevated realism Second Life connoisseurs crave. In a space like this, there’s no room for flat. Everything must feel rich, dimensional, and touchable.
Smoke, Sip, Repeat: Humidor & Hookah Life
In one polished corner sits a fully stocked Bonaire Humidor, ready to host a hand-picked selection of Cuban royalty. Directly beside it, a sleek Tredente Hookah stands like a sculptural statement — equal parts art and indulgence.
Whether you're a cigar aficionado, a flavor chaser, or simply a man who understands ritual, this pairing is your moment. Light. Puff. Exhale. Reflect.
Vintage Soul, Modern Finish
As a designer who lives for the details, I knew the space needed a few final flourishes to ground it in masculine nostalgia.
Enter the Soy Old Barber Chair—a worn-in beauty with chrome armrests and just the right amount of creak. It doesn’t just sit there. It tells stories. And right beside it? The Muniick Vintage Standing Ashtray, tall and sleek with that perfect mid-century edge. Together, they anchor the space in tradition, giving it that seasoned, lived-in soul I crave in a masculine interior.
A Word on the Floors
Let’s talk about that floor, shall we?
The high-gloss marble tiles may not have been a sponsored item — but they were sourced directly from the ERFE Designs showroom and laid with precision inside the Roma II Mansion. Their cold touch, creamy veining, and mirrored polish set the stage for the richness above. When you walk across this floor, you feel important — exactly as you should!
